WELCOME

Firstly, let us introduce ourselves. We are Clint Burgess and Helen Cronie and we are Thistle 'B' Scrumptious on 207 King Street in Castle Douglas.

Clint Spent 15 years in the hospitality industry working as a Chef and was also involved in Restaurant design. Helen spent 13 years in Management in Marks and Spencer so has a background in retail.

In 2001, we moved to Dumfries and Galloway and lived in Kirkpatrick Durham for a number of years before moving in 2008. This was a return "home" for Helen as she was born in Dumfries and has family across Dumfries and Galloway.

High Season - April-December 10am - 4.30pm
January - CLOSED
Low Season - Feb-March 10am - 3.30pm

TAKE AWAY

We are also proud to offer very scrumptious take away lunches which include whole or half baguettes filled with local produce from smoked salmon to lockerbie cheddar, homemade soup made daily and fabulous salad boxes, also using local produce.

In addition to this, we also offer fresh takeaway coffee (beans ground freshly in the shop), highland tea and hot chocolate which is made from real chocolate drops and is also available with lashings of cream and marshmallows, mmmm.......
